The new copy will prompt you to allow it to run the first time it’s opened, and then can complete the setup process. We’ve seen issues where MacOS fails to properly scan older copies of our software to enure their security. If ACE has already been successfully installed, but you get a message to repair ACE or run into other issues, please try the steps outlined in “ How to repair the ACE component”. For now, however, the following instructions should help you work around this OS issue. This issue has been reported to Apple, and we continue to hope it will be fixed in a future MacOS update. When this occurs, it’s not possible to properly authorize ACE for use. Currently, MacOS has a rare but frustrating bug where the “Security & Privacy” preference pane fails to show the correct prompt to allow the installation of our Audio Capture Engine (ACE) component.
